PETALING JAYA: The Selangor Solidarity Fund , which was set up on Wednesday to assist the club in paying their fine to the Malaysian Football League , has collected over RM40,000 as of Friday evening.
"For everyone’s information, the total amount of donations that have been received for the Selangor Solidarity Fund since June 26 is RM40,843.02. Selangor had been fined RM100,000 for refusing to play their Charity Shield match against Johor Darul Ta’zim on May 10, after winger Faisal Halim suffered an acid attack five days earlier.
MFL also reversed the ban on spectators attending the match between home side Selangor and JDT at the Petaling Jaya City Council Stadium and the three-point deduction.
