Selangor set on implementing waste separation law | The Malaysian Insight

Residents refuse to separate their solid wastes to avoid coughing up additional costs of buying different coloured plastic bags for waste separation, the Selangor State Assembly heard today. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, November 6, 2019.

THE Selangor government will make it mandatory for households in the state to separate solid wastes according to types. State Environment, Green Technology, Science, Technology and Innovation and Consumer Affairs Committee chairman Hee Loy Sian said the committee was drafting a bill on the management of solid wastes and public cleansing towards this purpose.
