Selangor MB proposes use of face masks for F&B operators in stages | The Malaysian Insight

Selangor Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari says the proposed use of face masks among food and beverage operators has not yet been decided at the state government level, because it will involve making several amendments to existing by-laws. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, December 29, 2022.

Amirudin said that the wearing of face masks was seen as a good step to instil confidence in customers during the process of food preparation and serving. “Hence, if we want to implement there needs to be an adjustment because it is in the public’s interest if we wear face masks. Why in stages? Wearing musk is such a common everyday affair that the rule can be implemented immediately. Even without any rules, responsible f&b outlets should have their people wearing masks while working.
