KUALA LUMPUR: The Selangor Fire and Rescue Department has set up five tents to facilitate flood relief efforts in the Hulu Langat, near here, in preparation for a second wave of flooding in the area.

Its director Norazam Khamis said the department set up the tents at IKTBN Dusun Tua, Penghulu Batu 14 office, SK Sungai Serai, Sungai Lui community hall and Nanding Agro Night Market."We are worried if the floods in Hulu Langat will recur. Therefore, firefighters and boats are ready in the district, following the weather conditions such as lightning and dark clouds reported at the location,” he told Bernama Monday .

Yesterday, several pictures and video recordings related to the overflowed Sungai Lui were circulated, and residents were said to be on high alert for fear of a recurrence of flooding. He said the incidents at the two locations did not cause any casualties, and the floods had fully receded by about 7pm today.
