Carlsberg Brewery Malaysia had been slapped with a demand for RM13.76 million in sales tax and penalty of RM6.88 million for the period July 1, 2011 to Jan 14, 2014.
The company said it received a letter cancelling the bill of demand from the state Customs director on Thursday, the edgemarkets.com reported. It said Carlsberg had reported in September 2014 that it had been slapped with excise duty, sales tax and penalty totalling RM56.4 million.
