BANYAK negara semakin memberi fokus kepada pemberian vaksin untuk kanak-kanak seawal umur 12 tahun untuk mendapatkan imuniti kelompok sebagai langkah mengawal penularan wabak Covid-19. Amerika Syarikat contohnya, meluluskan pemberian vaksin jenis Pfizer-BioNTech untuk dua dos kepada kanak-kanak berumur 12 sehingga 15 tahun dan lebih kurang 1 juta kanak-kanak dilaporkan menerima suntikan dos pertama.
