The police have strengthened security at premises utilised by the Sri Lanka's High Commissioner in Kuala Lumpur, according to a Sri Lanka-based daily.
Sri Lanka's Ministry of Foreign Affairs was quoted as saying that the premises where security was heightened by police were the official residence of the High Commissioner and the Chancery premises in Kuala Lumpur.at both diplomatic premises in the wake of the recent arrests by Malaysian authorities of close to a dozen individuals who are suspected of having links to the LTTE," the report said.
Earlier this month, Malaysian police's Counter-Terrorism Division arrested 12 people whom they claimed are linked to LTTE, including two state assemblypersons from Malacca and Negeri Sembilan.
