MELAKA: It's just a gift of blood pressure and glucose monitoring equipment, but for a part-time security guard, they are very meaningful.

The retiree from Seremban tried his luck to get help from Melaka Health and Anti-Drugs Committee chairman Low Chee Leong by sending him a distress WhatsApp message and he got a favourable response in just a few days.

"I don't have many more years to live and I came across an article about you in the newspaper and I got your number from the Internet. Low said PHAK management has also decided to drive down to hand over the equipment to Jegan at his home in Seremban on Tuesday .When contacted, Jegan said he only tried his luck by sending the message to Low.
