ALOR SETAR: Calon Barisan Nasional Parlimen Kuala Kedah, Datuk Dr. Mashitah Ibrahim menepis dakwaan beliau merupakan orang luar di kawasan tersebut seperti tohmahan dilemparkan pihak lawan.
“Kebanyakan penduduk mengenali arwah bapa kerana khidmatnya dahulu. Jadi saya berhasrat menyambung legasi arwah bapa untuk berkhidmat di sini,” katanya ditemui selepas mengadakan perjumpaan bersama usahawan Kuala Kedah, di sini hari ini. “Masalah yang penduduk hadapi bermacam-macam sedangkan kawasan ini berpotensi untuk dikembangkan. Saya bertemu wanita yang gigih berniaga, ada produk bagus untuk dikembangkan namun terperuk. Saya azam nak lonjakkan ekonomi penduduk setempat,” katanya.
