KUCHING, March 22 — The Sarawak state government has some reservations about the implementation of the central data hub because it is suspicious of its true intention, Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Minister Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah said today.
“For Sarawak, we want Padu to be restructured,” Karim told reporters after launching the 27th edition of the Rainforest World Music Festival 2024 here.He also questioned the need for the federal government to come up with Padu when there is already e-Kasih to register people who want financial assistance from the government.
He said he had not heard of a memo allegedly written by a Resident’s Office to District Officers, community leaders and Village Security and Development Committees that was widely circulated on social media.
