This is to ensure salary payments would be made before the seventh day of each month as stipulated under Employment Act.

The Human Resources Ministry will develop an e-Wages system soon to monitor the payment of monthly salaries to workers in real-time. Minister M Saravanan said this was to ensure that salary payments would be made before the seventh day of each month as stipulated under the Employment Act 1955.
