KOTA KINABALU: An estate worker has been sentenced to 15 years’ jail and 10 strokes of the rotan for raping his stepdaughter over the past three years in Sandakan district.
According to the facts of the case, the accused had repeatedly raped the girl, also an Indonesian, since she was 11. She is now 14.The granduncle then lodged a police report the following day, after which the accused was arrested. Investigations revealed that he threatened to kill her mother and siblings if she told anyone about the rape.
