While no smartphone using its 200MP image sensor exists just yet, Samsung used it anyway to take and print a giant picture of a cat, and framed it on the side of a building.

, a new 200MP image sensor capable of ultra-high resolution mobile photography. While it hasn’t actually made it to a smartphone just yet, Samsung did take it for a spin to take pictures of perhaps what we all love to take photos of: cats.

“Choosing a cat as our subject was a difficult decision. It gave us a lot of obstacles to overcome, such as capturing such an active subject with a test board. However, the team concluded that the subject should be something that would show off a high level of detail and that was a popular photography subject at the same time,” – Minhyuk Lee, Samsung engineer
