: Mahkamah Tinggi hari ini telah menolak saman RM100 juta seorang guru tadika M. Indira Gandhi terhadap Ketua Polis Negara , Polis Diraja Malaysia dan kerajaan, kerana didakwa gagal menangkap bekas suaminya dan mengembalikan anak perempuannya yang telah diculik lelaki itu.
“Saya membuat kesimpulan bahawa KPN dan PDRM menjalankan tugas mereka mengikut cara yang mereka anggap paling sesuai. Cara mereka menjalankan penyiasatan adalah mengikut budi bicara mereka yang luas dan saya tidak berada dalam kedudukan untuk meraguinya. Pada 2009, bekas suami Indira Gandhi, Muhammad Riduan Abdullah secara unilateral telah mengislamkan ketiga-tiga anaknya tanpa kebenaran Indira Gandhi, sebelum ke Mahkamah Syariah untuk mendapatkan hak penjagaan anak-anak, tetapi pada 2018 Mahkamah Persekutuan memutuskan penukaran agama unilateral ketiga-tiga anak itu sebagai batal dan tidak sah.
