Financial adviser Roger Daniel feels that the snap election is a waste of time and resources but he will still vote.
Public relations officer Eric Bagang , 40, is of the view that the state election is an opportunity for assemblymen to review their own achievements. This also showed that they must always perform throughout their term, not only in the beginning and the end of their stint, because a snap election could happen at any point, he said.
A teacher from Manggatal, who did not want to be named, also said that she would be exercising her right to vote.As for a sales executive from Penampang, she said: “Personally, I will still go out and vote. I guess we are not willing to give up without a fight. It’s our duty to choose a better leader for the future of our children.“After all, power is supposed to be in the hands of the people. That’s democracy, ” she said.
