The people of Sabah deserve to have political stability, says Umno Supreme Council member Datuk Seri Abdul Rahman Dahlan.

Umno Supreme Council member Abdul Rahman Dahlan said the people of Sabah were “angry, sick and tired” of all the politicking and turmoil in the state. “Is there absolutely no sympathy for the people of Sabah who are struggling with economic challenges?” the former Kota Belud MP said on Facebook. In the cryptic post, Rahman said patience was a crucial pillar of democracy, adding that if there was no patience, “democracy would be stifled”.

His remarks follow the current political crisis in Sabah between chief minister Hajiji Noor on one side and Sabah Umno chief Bung Moktar Radin with Warisan president Shafie Apdal on the other. After an hour-long audience with Sabah governor Juhar Mahiruddin yesterday, Hajiji was all smiles as he left the palace.Hajiji was summoned to presumably submit statutory declarations from Sabah assemblymen who are in support of him remaining as the chief minister.
