KOTA KINABALU: Sabah has amended some Covid-19-related SOPs, as more sectors have been allowed to operate.

Among them are those related to back to school matters for students, parents or guardians as well as teachers, education institutes and schools and allowing for critical appointments that require face-to-face and online dealings.

Minister in charge of Covid-19 matters in Sabah, Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said these changes were amended on Tuesday . He said customers, employers and employees from the trade and distribution sectors, restaurants and supermarkets need to also take note of the rule which requires them to be fully vaccinated and are of the low-risk groups which take effect starting Sept 21.These amendments and the latest SOPs can be viewed at the state MKN official social media platforms such as Facebook and Telegram and on the State Information Department website among others.

Masidi also mentioned that from Wednesday’s total 2015 new cases recorded, 71 deaths and a new cluster were also reported. The new Covid-19 cases included 1,805 Malaysians, 660 who are fully vaccinated, and 166 of those over the ages of 60, whereas the new cluster is work-related - Kluster Sungai Bendera Kinabatangan .
