Sabah to discuss VTL with closed-border nations

Sabah Assistant Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Joniston Bangkuai says industry proposals still need to go through the appropriate committee. – Facebook pic, March 21, 2022.

THE Sabah Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Environment will discuss the need to create a vaccinated travel lane for people travelling between the state and regional countries that still have not reopened their borders. Assistant Minister Joniston Bangkuai said the VTL was the stimulus needed to boost the state’s economy, and said his ministry and industry players were prepared to receive international tourists.
