Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Tennis Association president Johnson Koh has urged the Sports Commissioner (SC) to review its call to have three clubs formed before a district association can be set up in the State.

Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Tennis Association president Johnson Koh has urged the Sports Commissioner to review its call to have three clubs formed before a district association can be set up in the State.

“The tennis community and the facilities are non comparable to the districts in the Peninsula. Therefore, I sincerely hope that the Sports Commissioner will exercise its discretion to decide what is best for the development of tennis here in Sabah,” he said. He said the State association would use the fund wisely and continue with the development of junior players in the State, organising more tournaments, while the team tennis invitational tournament would be their main event this year.
