KOTA KINABALU: Students and teachers can be extra proud of the 2020 SPM results as the Covid-19 pandemic had brought about many challenges, says state Education Department director.

Datuk Mistirine Radin said apart from poor Internet coverage in many areas as well as the lack of electronic devices for students, teachers were faced with the challenge of getting their classes across nevertheless.

She said for those who without or have a weak Internet connection, teachers would provide printed modules for them to collect. Data collection on these issues were made on a weekly and monthly basis to identify what needed to be amended, improved and kept, she added."So, we want to thank all teachers, students and parents as well as the community as a whole for their cooperation in making online classes a success, as shown in the latest SPM results," Mistirine said.
