Sabah’s Covid-19 caseload nearly breached the 300 mark with 292 cases, an increase from 249 the day earlier, while one death was recorded in Sandakan.

Kota Kinabalu: .Sabah’s Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said the positivity rate was higher on Friday compared to the day before, despite the lower number of test samples. “The number of test samples is 2,919 compared to 3,118 on Thursday. At the same positivity rate, the number of infections should be lower, however the rate was 12.02 per cent on Friday compared to 11.14 per cent the day before.

Kota Kinabalu topped the list with 115 cases, followed by Sandakan , Penampang , Beaufort , Papar , Tuaran and Lahad Datu . “The number of districts recording a rise and decrease is the same, 11 respectively. Seven districts did not record any new infections in the previous 24 hours,” he said.Masidi said 289 out of 292 cases were category one and two infections, while one case was each recorded in category three, four and five.
