Parti Bersatu Sabah founder Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan, who retired from politics in 2018, also said there was no mention of the Sabah Temporary Pass in the 360-page RCI report.
Pairin pointed out that the RCI report also recommended the main committee on illegal immigrants be formed and this committee was co-chaired by then deputy prime minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and then chief minister Tan Sri Musa Aman. “Whatever that is being recommended, is submitted to the main committee. To my knowledge, until today there is no decision made on matters submitted to the main committee because of the political change in our country,” he said.
Thanking the various bodies and NGOs for their RCI recommendations, Pairin questioned Parti Warisan Sabah and the Pakatan Harapan government’s decision to implement the PSS, which was supposedly proposed by BN, without in-depth discussion and broad explanation.
