KOTA KINABALU: Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) has no intention of withdrawing any of the 22 candidates it has fielded, says Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan.

This is despite an announcement that Gabungan Rakyat Sabah's new plans to field sole candidates in seats where partner parties are clashing.

"In areas where we can work together with friends, we will. We have no intention of dropping any of our candidates from this race. If we did, we would have done so before nomination day," he said. He added PBS is still open to hearing the strategy to minimise the clashes within GRS parties and still has time to mull it over.

Kitingan said this after a ceramah in Kiulu on Monday in response to Perikatan Nasional secretary-general Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin’s comments.
