Thirty out of the total 172 arrests in 20 districts were recorded in Kota Kinabalu, followed by Tawau, 20, and Sandakan, 15, said Sabah Police Commissioner Datuk Zaini Jass.He said this during a press conference at the Kota Kinabalu Karamunsing police headquarters here on Saturday .
Also present were state narcotic chief ACP Ahmad Jefferi Abdullah and Kota Kinabalu police chief ACP Habibi Majinji. "Following these arrests, as of 5pm, police also saw a total of 718.91g of syabu worth RM71,891 seized," Zaini said. Zaini said the highest seizure of syabu based on districts were Sandakan with 519.47g, followed by Tawau , Papar , Penampang , Keningau and Kota Belud ."Similar operations will be conducted from time to time to fight and subsequently to eliminate drug activities in Sabah," he said.
Zaini called upon the public to continue assisting and working together with the police and other law agencies to fight the number one enemy of the state.
