KOTA KINABALU: Sabah PAS’ Dr Aliakbar Gulasan has agreed to donate a month’s worth of allowance to help the Palestinian struggle.

Aliakbar, who is a state nominated assemblyman, said this contribution is a symbol of commitment and solidarity for the Palestinians.“I call on all communities in Sabah to come forward and make contributions toward the Palestinian funds,” he said.

He also called for prayers to be made for the Palestinians and for an end to the sufferings brought about by the Israeli offensive. On Friday , Terengganu Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar and his fellow administrators in the 11-member Terengganu state executive council said they will be forgoing a month of their salary and donating it to the Palestinians, who are currently fighting against Jewish Zionists.

The move comes in the wake of the incursion and attacks by Israeli forces and settlers against Palestinian civilians and worshippers at Al-Aqsa Mosque on May 7 and continued aggression.
