KotaKinabalu Majils Fatwa Negeri Sabah turut memutuskan menangguhkan solat Jumaat pada 15 Mei dan 22 Mei ini.

Mufti Sabah, Datuk Bungsu @ Aziz Jaafar berkata, keputusan itu dibuat selepas mengambil kira asas syarak dan maqasid syariah demi kemaslahatan dan kebaikan umat Islam.

Katanya, Majils Fatwa Negeri Sabah turut memutuskan menangguhkan solat Jumaat pada 15 Mei dan 22 Mei ini. "Keputusan ini juga membabitkan solat sunat Aidilfitri sama ada jatuh pada 23 atau 24 Mei ini tertakluk kepada keputusan Penyimpan Mohor Besar Raja-Raja."Selain itu, umat Islam di Sabah dikehendaki merujuk garis panduan yang pernah dikeluarkan pihak berwajib," katanya dalam kenyataan.Dalam pada itu, Bungsu juga menjelaskan sama ada tempoh pelanjutan atau sebaliknya dilaksanakan akan mengambil kira nasihat kerajaan negeri Sabah dan Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia .
