KOTA KINABALU: Health officials are calling for full cooperation from Covid-19 patients, especially those categorised under the sporadic cluster so that the source of transmission can be traced and contained, says Sabah Health director Datuk Dr Christina Rundi .

She said it was hard to find the source and curb the spread of the disease without accurate data and information. "For example, out of the 11 positive cases that we detected in Penampang, nine of them are sporadic, while two are the contacts of these patients.Dr Rundi said five out of the nine main sporadic cases involved medical staff while four have a history of travelling abroad recently.

"We are able to contain other cases with known sources of clusters but for sporadic cases, it is harder to do so. "That is why we hope they can give us the facts and be honest about the details of their travel history and movements," she said. The public are reminded to observe the movement control order , maintain social distancing when outside and to practice high level of personal hygiene at all times.
