NSTnation: 'We will call both parties involved in the incident which was captured in a viral video for further investigation.' papagomo KKIA

This was after Muhammad Azri or better known as Papagomo lodged a police report on the incident at the Setapak police station at about 2.30am today, said Sabah police commissioner Datuk Omar Mammah."We will call both parties involved in the incident which was captured in a viral video for further investigation," he said in a statement, today. He added that police would also call members of the public and witnesses to come forward to assist the probe.

Papagomo had in a statement claimed that those who assaulted him at KKIA on Sunday night were not Sabah people and alleged that they were also supporters of Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal. During the Kimanis by-election campaign, Papagomo had ripped-up a photo of Shafie, who is also Parti Warisan Sabah president, causing anger among the people.

Meanwhile, Warisan secretary-general Datuk Loretto Padua denied the party’s supporters nor members were involved in the incident."Warisan does not support any hooliganism as it is not our culture. "Although Papagomo had shown his unlawful action before this that led to unhappiness among the people, it does not mean we will lower our dignity to his level".
