Night markets, pasar tani and tamu in Sabah are not allowed during the CMCO which will be in force until Oct 26.
Clarifying the green light given by the state government for these sectors to operate since yesterday, Sabah Local Government and Housing Minister Masidi Manjun said there was some confusion over the issue. “I wish to clarify that the SOPs being implemented statewide now are based on the new regulations issued by the National Security Council dated Oct 14.”Masidi, who is also Sabah’s official Covid-19 committee spokesman, said the previous SOPs were no more in use, except the ones in the 10 localities currently under enhanced MCO .
He added that in line with the statewide CMCO implemented since Oct 13, all CMCO instructions involving the 11 districts previously are automatically cancelled.
