The hospital, with 133 beds and 52 specialists on call, is touted as the largest private women's and children's specialist hospital in Malaysia.
According to Avisena Group president and CEO Datuk Dr Omar Abd Hamid, the hospital project began about three-and-a-half years ago. Dr Omar said the Avisena Group has another hospital, the Avisena Specialist Hospital, which was built 11 years ago and offers specialisations such as cardiology, heart surgery, neurology, neurosurgery, endocrinology, nephrology, and orthopaedic surgery."We will add another 140 beds at the Avisena Specialist Hospital to attract medical tourists," Dr Omar said..
