PETALING JAYA: Enam pertubuhan bukan kerajaan dalam industri rokok elektronik atau vape bakal menyerahkan memorandum kepada Perdana Menteri, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim selepas mendakwa mereka disisihkan oleh Kementerian Kesihatan .
Turut sama adalah Malaysia e-Liquid Brewers Association , Persatuan Peniaga Vape Melayu dan Dewan Perniagaan Vape Malaysia Menurut kenyataan itu, tidak ada penerangan dan perbincangan secara terperinci daripada pihak KKM dengan pemain industri sebelum Rang Undang-Undang Kawalan Produk Merokok Demi Kesihatan Awam 2023 atau RUU Generasi Penamat dibentangkan.
“Oleh yang demikian, pihak kami memohon agar pembentangan RUU GEG untuk bacaan kedua ditangguhkan bagi memberi ruang untuk sesi libat urus secara menyeluruh antara pihak kerajaan dengan pemegang taruh bagi membentuk RUU yang lebih adil dan bersesuaian untuk semua pihak.
