RTD catches 55,000 vehicle owners allowing unlicensed driving

Road Transport Department deputy director-general Aedly Fadly Ramli says analysis shows that the public’s attitude to this crime has not changed in years. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, June 25, 2022.

He said most of the offences involved family, especially parents who allowed their children, including minors, to drive without a licence. “This was evident when 347,300 vehicle owners were found to have allowed individuals without a licence to drive their vehicles from January 2019 to May this year,” he said in Chukai, Terengganu, last night.
