No plea was recorded from Mohamad Farreyl Haikal Abdullah after the charge was read in front of Magistrate Zhafran Rahim Hamzah.
Mohamad Farreyl was charged under Section 302 of the Penal Code, which carries a mandatory death sentence upon conviction. According to the charge sheet, the accused had allegedly murdered Nor Aishah Abdullah between 2am on Oct 17 and 12.45am on Oct 18, 2019 at a unit Apartment Vista Damansara Damai here."Understood," he said when asked whether he understood the charge read to him.Deputy Public Prosecutor Siti Zubaidah Mahat stood for prosecution.
It was reported that Nor Aishah was found lying in one of the bedrooms in the unit, with visible injuries to the forehead, eyes and lower neck.According to reports, Mohamad Farreyl was arrested on Oct 18 at around 8.40pm.
