PETALING JAYA: After waiting for so long to pursue tertiary education, Rohana Abdullah's wish has come true after being offered a place at Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM).

The 22-year-old has received an official offer from the university to pursue a diploma in Computer Science.

"I'm here to convey our heartfelt congratulations, especially from our chancellor and Yang-di Pertua Negeri of Melaka Tun Dr Mohd Ali Rustam, on your acceptance to the university," said the representative, as she handed Rohana the letter as Chee looked on. Rohana was abandoned when she was two-months-old by her Indonesian biological mother and was cared for by Chee, who was a teacher at a kindergarten where Rohana's mother worked as a cleaner.
