Gombak OCPD Asst Comm Arifai Tarawe said that the June 6 robbery led to two foreign workers being injured.
"The incident occurred on the second floor of a building that was used as a hostel and had 20 workers staying inside. At the time most were asleep. "The suspects took handphones and around RM1,500 in cash. Losses are estimated to be around RM3,000," he said when contacted on Friday ."Six men, aged from 24 to 61, were arrested. Around 14 handphones, five motorcycles and two machetes were seized.
"Five of the suspects had prior records for criminal and drug offences. One was wanted for a drug case," he added. Police believe that the aforementioned case, as well as three other incidents in the Rawang and Country Homes area, were solved following the arrest.
