RM100mil Madani medical scheme to benefit B40s

PUTRAJAYA: Recipients of Rahmah Cash Aid will enjoy all benefits under the Madani Medical Scheme, which will run until Dec 31, says Dr Zaliha Mustafa.

They are Gombak, Hulu Langat, Klang and Petaling in Selangor, Kinta in Perak, Timur Laut in Penang, Johor Baru in Johor, Kota Kinabalu in Sabah, Kuching in Sarawak and Kuala Lumpur.“STR recipients and their dependents are not required to pre-register. They only need to bring their identification card when receiving treatment at the GPs registered under the Madani Medical Scheme,” she added.

Dr Zaliha said free services offered through the scheme such as consultations, check-ups, medicines, procedures and referrals would be provided to the beneficiaries according to the specified package. Dr Zaliha said the package did not include treatment for non-acute cases such as routine immunisation, health screening, routine non-communicable disease follow-up treatment and mother-and-child follow-up treatment.
