JOHOR BARU: The Johor government will ensure that any increase in property tax assessment rates of five local councils will not burden anyone, says Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi.
The Johor Mentri Besar said the state government had received feedback over the increase in assessment rates which will come into effect on Jan 1, 2024. The five local councils were Johor Baru CIty Council , Iskandar Puteri City Council , Pasir Gudang City Council , Kluang Municipal Council , and Pengerang Municipal Council ."Based on feedback from various parties, the state government will examine and consider the best methods and rates so it will not burden any party, especially with challenging economic conditions and the rising cost of living," he said in a statement on Facebook on Wednesday .
