LABUAN: The Ministry of Natural Resources, Energy and Climate Change should reveal what plans it has to resolve the frequent blackouts and meet increasing energy demand of the island to inspire investors,” Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman Datuk Dahlif Singh.

“Neighbouring Sabah is already addressing their similar situation by considering various options such as hydro, solar, biomass energy and power barges. “These measures could solve Sabah’s problem but will surplus power be exported to Labuan since the island is a Federal Territory and separate entity? “There was no mention of Labuan included in Sabah’s power plans,” he said.
