Restaurants divided over 2am closing time

Restaurants that serve alcohol are more affected than those that don’t, as their busiest hours are often between 12am to 2am, says one owner. – The Malaysian Insight pic by Seth Akmal, October 3, 2020.

RESTAURATEURS are struggling to balance revenue and Covid-19 safety protocols and have mixed views on the 2am closing time rule. Some told The Malaysian Insight the extra opening hours do help boost the till, while others said the extra revenue is marginal.
