Eight states are ready to reconvene their assemblies while three are still waiting. FMTNews Parliament StateAssembly Minister Emergency Lockdown

Perlis has become the first state to set a date for its state assembly to sit but Melaka could be the first to actually hold a sitting.

In a joint statement, the heads of government backbenchers and the opposition said the state assembly was an important platform to discuss issues affecting the people as Selangor fights off the pandemic. It was reported that the Melaka legislative assembly is expected to convene in the middle of July at the latest after the date is gazetted. It might be the earliest state to convene a sitting.On June 17, menteri besar Hasni Mohamad revealed that the state government would identify a suitable date soon to reconvene the state assembly.

In a statement, Chow thanked the King and the rulers for urging that Parliament and state assemblies be held as it was an important platform to discuss measures in curtailing Covid-19 and other concerns faced by the rakyat during the pandemic. Hajiji said he had held a discussion with assembly speaker Kadzim Yahya on June 17 following the King’s decree that Parliament should sit as soon as possible.Menteri besar Aminuddin Harun said on June 18 the state government would also seek the consent of the King through the Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan, Tuanku Muhriz Almarhum Tuanku Munawir, to convene the state assembly.

Since it is an emergency ,it would be better for the agong to appoint PH leaders to be PM as the GE14 was won on that platforms .And let PH go to the parliamentary floor to get thier vote , if PH could not , then a GE 15 would proceed immediately .
