IPOH: Sacrifices made by war veterans to keep the country safe must be appreciated by all Malaysians, says Indian High Commissioner to Malaysia Shri Mridul Kumar.

He said everyone should remember those who had served their respective countries during times of conflict and crisis and reflect upon their selfless sacrifices.

"Not only will we minimise the risk of making the same mistake, we will also be mindful of the losses in terms of lives and resources," he said during the Ipoh Cenotaph Annual Remembrance Day at the Ipoh Cenotaph here Friday . Some 150 people attended the event including high commissioners and diplomatic representatives, expatriate servicemen and students from secondary schools.
