State should be a food producer state, and develop a system for environmental conservation.

KUANTAN: The Regent of Pahang, Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah, has called for Pahang to reduce its dependence on mineral and natural resources for state revenue, and develop a system of environmental conservation.

He urged both the federal and state governments to help ease the burden of smallholders in the state following the collapse of palm oil prices on the international market. He urged all parties to carry out a transparent impact assessment on environmental management for areas identified for development.

“Stern action should be taken, in accordance with the law to ensure the dignity of the royal institution continues to be respected by all parties,” he said.

The Rome Statute and the deeply disturbing ‘deep state’ disclosureThe existence of a clandestine 'deep state', as mentioned by Foreign Minister Saifuddin Abdullah in explaining Putrajaya's decision to withdraw from the Rome Statute, is worrying. I AM SO SO SO SCARED.. UUUU TAKUTNYA There’s time to be tough and act tough, and it takes courage to be tough. PH can’t just let them walked away with trophy! They will use same tactics again to threaten the government to get what they want. They will take the decision as proof of their new found power! Highly irresponsible 2 play fear-politics when d blunder actually is d failure of govt 2 properly prepare all stakeholders 2 embrace d Rome Statute.
