In conjunction with World Interfaith Harmony Week and as part of the Church of Our Lady of Fatima’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations, the parish held an interreligious celebration on February 12.
Archbishop Julian Leow’s presence further emphasised the importance the Catholic Church places on maintaining good relations with people of different faiths in the country. The attendees were invited to pray in silence for the promotion of peace and harmony in Malaysia. This was followed by a short sharing by the Chairman of INSaF Dr Amir Farid Isahak, and a leader of the Baha’i community, Ranee Sreedharan, regarding their aspirations for the country, in general, and for the inter-faith community in Brickfields, in particular.
