Sri Paus Fransiskus me-yakinkan umat beriman yang berkumpul di Dataran Santo Petrus, Vatikan bahawa Syurga adalah tanah air mereka.

“Yesus menggunakan gambaran yang kita biasa iaitu rumah. Di rumah Bapa, kita masing-masing, ada ruang untukmu. Kamu akan disambut dan dialu-alukan selamanya, dengan kehangatan pelukan, dan ‘Aku di syurga menyiapkan tempat untukmu',” kata Bapa Suci. Sri Paus menerangkan bahawa kadang-kadang, terutama ketika ada masalah besar yang harus dihadapi dan ada perasaan bahwa kejahatan lebih kuat, kita bertanya pada diri sendiri, apa yang harus dilakukan dan ke mana harus pergi.
