THE US$322 million recovered from the sale of assets bought with 1Malaysia Development Bhd funds and other related transactions will be used to service the state investor’s debts amounting to RM51 billion, Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng said today.
“The sum includes the interest borne by and loans from the Ministry of Finance of RM8.6 billion that have been used to repay 1MDB’s debts to date,” Lim said in a statement.
