The Prime Minister's Office says civil servants from Grade 56 and below will receive the money on May 24.

The special aid will not only benefit civil servants but also 800,000 retirees, who will each get RM225.

PETALING JAYA: The Prime Minister’s Office has announced a Hari Raya Aidilfitri bonus of RM450 each to almost 1.5 million civil servants. In a statement, the Prime Minister’s Office said the aid would be given to civil servants with Grade 56 and below to celebrate Raya.“They will receive RM225 each,” it said in a statement. The money will be paid on May 24.Prior to this, the Congress of Unions of Employees in the Public and Civil Services had expressed hope that the government would consider giving a bonus to civil servants and retirees before Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
