PUTRAJAYA must wake up to Malaysia dropping five places in the Transparency International Corruption Perception Index 2021 report and make a serious effort to arrest the decline, anti-graft groups and a veteran lawmaker said. Center to Combat Corruption and Cronyism executive director Cynthia Gabriel said the current government has not shown much sign of carrying out reforms on anti-corruption and accountable governance.
