Majlis angkat sumpah jawatan itu berlangsung di hadapan Yang Dipertua Dewan Rakyat, Datuk Mohamad Ariff Md. Yusof di dalam Kamar Khas bangunan Parlimen.
Ramli merupakan Ahli Parlimen pertama dalam kalangan etnik Orang Asli selepas pesara polis itu memenangi Pilihan Raya Kecil Parlimen Cameron Highlands sebagai calon langsung Barisan Nasional , 26 Januari lalu. Sementara itu, dalam ucapan pemasyhuran beliau sebagai Ahli Parlimen, Mohamad Ariff mengucapkan sekalung tahniah dan berharap Ramli dapat melaksanakan tugas sebagai wakil rakyat dengan terhormat kepada negara.
Beliau turut mengambil kesempatan mengucapkan tahniah kepada Ramli sebagai wakil etnik Orang Asli pertama dipilih sebagai Ahli Parlimen melalui proses pilihan raya yang demokratik. “Saya berharap Yang Berhormat dapat memberi sumbangan yang berguna dan berfaedah kepada dewan ini dan negara seterusnya. Dan semoga dapat berkhidmat dengan cemerlang,” katanya ketika membacakan ucapan pemasyhuran Ramli sebagai anggota Parlimen. - UTUSAN ONLINE
