KUALA LUMPUR: Penang’s Deputy Chief Minister II Dr P. Ramasamy says he will be giving police statements over investigations into two media articles.
Ramasamy arrived outside Bukit Aman at around 9.50am on Monday , with an entourage of about 10 people."I suspect there may be police reports lodged against me as well. "I will be going to give my statement at 10am together with my lawyer Regunath Kesavan," he said, adding that he had arrived from Penang on Monday morning.
When asked if this were merely politicised allegations against the Indian minority, he said this was not a question of Indians, Chinese or Malays."Malaysians are much more free to speak up now, compared with under the previous government. "I am a Malaysian too and have the right to write or speak on various issues," he said, adding that he had no idea how long it would take to give his statements.Stay tuned for a new offer coming to you soon.
