Johor Investment, Trade and Consumer Affairs Committee chairman Lee Ting Han said on Tuesday that the Johor Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry had received five formal complaints regarding the matter so far.
Lee explained that the Ministry issued a directive in 2020 that petrol dealers are not allowed to sell RON95 petrol to foreign-registered vehicles. “Only petrol stations located within 25km of the Malaysia-Singapore border entry point are permitted to sell diesel to foreign-registered vehicles,” he also said, adding that the sale of diesel was limited to no more than 20 litres per transaction per day.
